Whoa, guys, hold up. I'm about to write a post about basketball. I know, I know. Not every sports related post can be about baseball or UCF, but I think this is the first time that basketball has made an appearance? I don't know. Correct me if I'm wrong.
So, the point of this post is: Things are a changin' in my heart.
Now, if you've known me for an extended period of time you would know that I am pretty exclusively a college basketball fan. Yeah, I'd follow a few NBA players, but that would only be because I loved them in college. I wouldn't really watch their games. I would just check in on stats every now and then. But now? I kind of don't care. I'm still sad when Duke loses and happy when they win, but I'm not exactly stressing out about watching the games like I once did. I mean, right now I'm watching the Clippers play, and I've seen approximately ten Duke v. Louisville commercials. They're just not doing it for me. You know, maybe it's because I've graduated. Or maybe it's because there are too few competitive teams. Maybe it's because most college basketball players just don't have the personalities that they once did, but I am full time riding the NBA train now.
You heard it hear first: I am officially declaring my unwavering love for the NBA.
It's consistently more entertaining basketball. More than seven teams are good, and you can find something to love about the few teams that have nothing to play for. It's not the same few teams, year after year, running the table. Hello, Golden State. I guess the main thing is, these teams actually make me care. They're not biding time until the playoffs (or the tournament for college). They're actually playing basketball, and it's great.
Guys, let me know. Are you more of a college or NBA basketball fan?

The 3 AM Blues
It's 3 o'clock in the morning, and guess what I'm doing. No, I'm not sleeping like a normal person should. Instead, I'm applying for jobs and watching Friends. What is my problem? I should be sleeping, dreaming about how one day the perfect man will sweep me off my feet and we will live happily ever after. Nope. Not me. I'm practically nocturnal ever since I left Target.
Now here's my main question. Do employers really look at one time you apply? And if they do, do they care? I mean, this is the first time I have actually wanted to apply to jobs in the past week. I should embrace this, right? Right?
I know that I should probably try to maintain a normal schedule in my life, but I can't help but stay up late when I'm able to. I mean, this is my only alone time these days, and I really cherish it when I get it. It's nice knowing that nobody is going to walk into my room unannounced and start judging me for the weird things I like to do when I'm alone. It seems like 3 AM is the only time to be weird.
Anyway, back to the applying for jobs front. I hope that nobody cares that it's in the middle of the night. If they do care, I guess I didn't need them anyway.
See you tomorrow, y'all. Hopefully it will be at a normal time.

These Are My Confessions
I have something to confess here. I am a terrible blogger. Really, I am the absolute worst. I thought this year was going to be different, but I think I've actually just hit a new low. After my post on January 1st, I drafted about fifteen posts. I thought about how easy it would be to just go back the next morning and proofread, make/find the pictures for them, and then be set for awhile. I was wrong. Instead I didn't do anything until last night where I posted something completely different.
Obviously I'm not going to let these posts go to waste, because let's be real, that is far too much work that I don't want to do again. Plus, they're already written! I just need to put the finishing touches on them. The moral of the story here is, I'm going to post them, and make the calendar believe that they went up on the right date and just never speak of it again. Do we have the story down? Awesome.
Here's to a better year with actually posting on time. Huzzah!

No Sleep Til Brooklyn
Hey! Remember that time I said I was going to start running? Well, I finally did it tonight! Now, I'm not ready to run a marathon or anything yet. I'm probably a few weeks away from that, but let's be real. I've started running.
As I mentioned in my new year's resolution post, I'm aiming to run a half marathon this year. Registration opens in March, so I'll obviously see how my running is going then, but I'm hoping to run in Disney's Wine and Dine half marathon in November.
Finally, how do you like the running update title? No Sleep Til Brooklyn seems pretty fitting since the ultimate goal is to run the NYC Marathon in 2016. Hopefully this all works out.
It's been fun. Hopefully I'll have another running update somewhat soon!

And I'm Back
Hey, y'all! It's been awhile. Did anybody miss me? Anybody? Hello? Bueller?
Oh, well. Anyway, ya girl is back... again, so today I thought I'd catch you up on a few of the things that have gone on in my life while I was gone. Sound good?
Last time I posted I had just started my job at Target. Well, now that season is over they have decided not to keep me. It's not that I didn't do a good job, but there just aren't enough positions to go around. That's fine. It's cool. We're all good. So now I'm back on that unemployment grind. If anybody has any tips on how to navigate those waters again, please let me know.
One of my friends came down from Orlando and visited me! I mean, we're both from the same town so she technically also visited her family, but we're just going to pretend it was for me. She's awesome, and I already miss her.
The holidays were good. Y'know, just regular holidays.
I joined a gym again. Planet Fitness has been treating me well so far. It's really purple in there, so of course I'm in love.
Other than that, not a ton has happened. I'm looking forward to this upcoming year. Come back tomorrow for my resolutions if you want!
